delivery and care.

I’m Deborah. I design digital experiences, build some of them, and organise the work that gets them safely into the world.

The route here has included Soil Science, software, product design, an MA in Experience Design, AI and no-code product work, project delivery and Perah Studio. Less a straight line, more a very consistent curiosity.

This is my corner of the internet.

A little more context

“I keep being drawn to messy things that need to become clearer, easier to use or easier to deliver.”

I grew up in Nigeria and now live in the UK. I started in Soil Science, then found my way into technology through software and product design. Later, an MA in Experience Design at the University of Plymouth gave me better language for something I had already begun to notice: the interface is only one part of the experience.

I have designed products, learnt enough code and no-code tooling to build working things, and developed an AI marking product from interface to handover. Through Perah Studio, I have also seen what founder-led delivery looks like when the process lives in one person’s head. That made the structure behind the work impossible to ignore: requirements, dependencies, decisions, testing and implementation.

So project delivery is not a sharp turn away from design. It is the same attention applied to the work around the interface: how people coordinate, how risk stays visible and how an idea reaches launch without losing what it was meant to do. I care about the experience and the route that makes it real.

What I care about

Faith

My faith sits underneath everything else. It shapes what I value, how I work and how I try to treat people.

Design

I like design most when it removes confusion, makes something easier to use or helps someone feel considered.

Culture

I’m endlessly interested in the things people carry with them — language, humour, food, memory and faith.

Storytelling

I like the context that stories preserve. A spreadsheet can tell you what happened; a story can sometimes tell you what it felt like.

Technology

I like technology when it has a reason to exist. New is interesting. Useful is better.

Building

I think better once an idea becomes tangible. So I prototype, make, test and occasionally break things.

How I tend to thinknotes to self

Start with the person
If the person using it feels lost, the system probably isn’t doing its job.

Make the idea tangible
I understand an idea better once I can see, test or break it.

Include human context
Usefulness matters, but so do memory, emotion, culture and the way an experience stays with someone.

Finish more often
I’m learning to choose one idea, finish it, and let it out into the world before another one steals my attention.
